Nicholas Kirkwood is joining Barbie and Manolo Blahnik across the pond! The British Fashion Council will work with the UK-based shoe designer once again to create visuals for London Fashion Week.

The task was simple: he received a blank canvas to interpret creatively, promoting London Fashion Week’s reputation as the world’s most innovative and creative fashion capital. The British Fashion Council has previously worked with Jonathan Saunders and Manolo Blahnik to create artwork for the seasonal event. This time around, Kirkwood opted for a chevron print that he’s previously used in his Spring 2013 collection. “Kirkwood’s geometric forms and architecturally inspired pieces have been adapted using his signature chevron pattern to create a strong visual identity which runs throughout the Spring/Summer 2014 LFW branding,” a release read.

The vibrant signs will be on a mirrored display throughout the courtyard of the Somerset house where the runways shows and presentations will take place, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

“It’s a great privilege to be able to team up with the BFC on this exciting project and apply my interpretation to the London Fashion Week campaign,” said Kirkwood. “I’ve taken elements of my work and designed a pattern that I feel reflects the bold nature and energy of London Fashion Week.”
